Practice With Copics

While working on my Kit and Clowder Online Copic marker coloring class, I decided to work on another project at the same time since I felt I kept making mistakes on my assignment. This is the result using the techniques I learned in class. 

August Kit and Clowder Class

Today, I decided to catch up on a few more of my Kit and Clowder coloring classes. This is my finished assignment for the August Copic Coloring Class. I had a few issues, an ink blob drop, colored one of her arms as the sky, but hey it's class it doesn't have to be perfect. :)

Autumn Colors

Alcohol Ink Background Class

I found some Tim Holtz alcohol ink to play with for the Kit and Clowder Alcohol background class. I had no particular idea what I was creating. But it is definitely colorful. Lol!

Finished Kit and Clowder alcohol background class, but didn't have the refills to use so thought I would color in sections but quickly realized I was not going to have the same effect as Alyce, so then I started added smudges of other colors on top of one another before using the Colorless blender. Ill need more practice with this one! :)

Sepia Technique Class

Today in my Kit and Clowder Technique Class I learned how to color a Sepia look with my Copic markers! I quickly learned a few more markers that I need to refill. Lol! 

Monochromatic Technique Class

The great thing about Copic markers, when you run out of ink you can come back later and try to blend the colors out again, which is something I will need to do on this one. Especially on the table cloth. My gray tones get used a lot in my coloring and I am in desperate need to purchase some refills! 

I do love the look of the Monochromatic Technique that I learned from Kit and Clowder's Online classes, and I look forward to trying this technique again on many images. 

Kit and Clowder Coloring Metal Class

This is a great technique to learn! My first attempt I decided to add some color to the flowers and attempt the shadow effect I learned in the backgrounds Class. If I win the giveaway, I am taking Nature class! I seem to struggle with coloring flowers too! :)

Kit and Clowder Timber Technique Class

Another challenging but fun class from Kit and Clowder! The Timber techniques class! I thought I didn't need classes I would pin color combos on Pinterest and search YouTube for videos. But let me tell you joining in at Kit and Clowder was the best decision I made! It is not only fun to color along with someone at your own pace, but you can share your work with others who are in the same classes!

Kit and Clowder Background Class

Okay this is a class I desperately needed! Most of my card images I leave blank because I am not great with backgrounds. With Kit and Clowder classes I am learning techniques, how to achieve backgrounds and it is not as hard as you think if you have fresh filled markers with good tips. ;) I had to fill about 1/2 dozen of mine for these challenges, and have 1/2 dozen more to fill that are totally dried up. But that's okay, I am ready for another technique to learn, I am on a roll!

Today, I am going to work on a few more Kit and Clowder challenges. It is the 15000 member party on Facebook, so I have a lot of crafty time ahead!

Kit and Clowder Crayola Challenge

I must be honest, I was not a fan of this challenge. I paid good money for those markers and pencils not to use them. Lol! Top that off my brand new large box  with sharpener of Crayola Crayons is missing and I had to use the children's stash, which grossed me out. I only used colors I could see after I would shake the bag up. Lol! My kids are in their 20's now. I really think I need to have a talk with my daughter about tossing these. But for now, maybe it will get me a wonderful prize from the challenge by using them. :)

Kit and Clowder Celebration

This little cutie was super fun to color with my Copic markers! Not to mention at Kit and Clowder's Online classes she offered a free class along with this digi to help you learn along with her how to color it up! I hadn't taken a hair, or background class, so this was something I could really use, and a freebie! I am so excited!  I took what I learned in yesterday's Pencil Class and a background class and applied those techniques here. You see those techniques in my clouds and the ground cover.

August Pencil Class

I am totally shocked that I actually colored this! I mean, of course I know I can color, but like this? Uh no. Apparently I can with classes from Kit and Clowder and Prismacolor pencils I bought at My local Hobby Lobby. 

Alyce at Kit and Clowder is a wonderful teacher, and you can take the classes at your own pace which is real nice! If you decide you want classes be sure to let Alyce know I recommend you and we can split the gift certificate she offers me for sending you over! Seriously you will not be disappointed and this month there are free classes with free digi images!

Kit and Clowder August Pencil Class

Having so much fun today! So glad I decided to start this class today! I have learned so much already, looking forward to using these techniques on other digi's! Only 6 days left to upload  my work and get a chance for a prize in the giveaway! :)

Kit and Clowder Classes Begin!

Last month, I skipped classes because  I have this pet peeve that I need to be uploading my class assignments before the next class which is on the 15th! That means I have 6 days! But, Kit and  Clowder is celebrating 15000 members on Facebook, so they have free digi's, classes, oh my goodness so much excitement! I am ready to get this party started! My pencils are ready, my digi image is printed! Fun is about to happen!

Original Anysoldier Card Swap -CLOSING!

I would like to thank everyone who helped keep Anysoldier Card Swap group here on Facebook Up and running. I have been involved with this group for 10 years, it started in the forums at the Anysoldier Inc. website. I took it over a few years ago from the Yahoo group where it had moved after the website forums were shut down by Marty Horn. The forums closing was pretty much the beginning of the end of the group, but I gave it a good run here on Facebook, by trying to keep it going strong for our soldiers. It is with great sorrow that I have decided to call it quits, participation has shrank from over 20 members a swap regularly to lucky enough to have 3, including myself For last two years.
