Valentines For Soldiers

Hey there Friends and followers! Today I finished up my set of 20 cards for the Anysoldier.com 2018 Valentines Card Swap. We find our soldiers at Anysoldier.com, and the swap that used to be in the forums there until the late Marty Horn closed the forums down. Now we are located on Facebook and still going strong!

Original Anysoldier Card Swap -CLOSING!

I would like to thank everyone who helped keep Anysoldier Card Swap group here on Facebook Up and running. I have been involved with this group for 10 years, it started in the forums at the Anysoldier Inc. website. I took it over a few years ago from the Yahoo group where it had moved after the website forums were shut down by Marty Horn. The forums closing was pretty much the beginning of the end of the group, but I gave it a good run here on Facebook, by trying to keep it going strong for our soldiers. It is with great sorrow that I have decided to call it quits, participation has shrank from over 20 members a swap regularly to lucky enough to have 3, including myself For last two years. Thank you all for your support, your cards and letters. I am grateful to Anysoldier Card Swaps for giving me the card making Bug as a hobby and the lives we have touched sending out care packages with your letters, cards and gifts. God bless you all! The group will shut down on September 10th

The group can be found here until September 10th

Anysoldier Card Swap

Summertime Anysoldier Card Swap 2017

It is time for the Summertime Anysoldier Card Swap! Here are a few cards I whipped up for the swap!

Any Soldier Spring Card Swap

Just finished packaging up cards to send back to the participants of the 2017 Spring Anysoldier Card Swap! We started the swaps over in the forums at Any Soldier Inc. but when forums closed we moved to Facebook! Come join us if you would like to add in an assorted set of cards for your care packages at Anysoldier Card Swap!

It is with deep regret I must inform you that Marty Horn a veteran who started it all at Anysoldier.com has passed away a month ago. His family has taken over the website duties so you can still find a soldiers unit to send care packages to if you choose to do so. My thoughts and prayers for Marty Horn's friends and family.

Anysoldier Summer Card Swap 2016

Anysoldier.com Card Swap Summer 2016 event has arrived! It was time to whip up my set of 20 cards real quick like before checking my post office to see who has sent me cards for the swap. I decided since participation has dwindled from about 20 participants to less than 10 that I would make 20 cards but in 4 different designs. I didn't want to add a lot of fufu stuff, in hopes to keep them simple enough for a soldier to just write in and send to their loved ones. I colored them with your typical Crayola brand colored pencils in a hurry so don't look for the imperfections please. :)

My favorite rubber stamps are these from House Mouse designs. They are so adorable dont you think?

Anysoldier.com Valentines 2016

Have I mentioned how much I am loving my Silhouette Cameo? This is one of the designs at the Silhouette store. I decided to use this card design for my Anysoldier.com Card Swap.

Anysoldier Holiday Cards Finished!

All that fun card making over the last month, using up my scraps of patterned papers and what nots sure paid off! I had a set of assorted holiday cards to send to the other participants in the Anysoldier Card Swap group on Facebook! I am looking forward to seeing all the cards I get back in return to include in my holiday care package to the soldiers currently serving. It sure makes you feel good to think maybe you just might brighten up a soldiers day after all they go through for this country!

Decorating Postal Box

I finished my cards for the Anysoldier Fall themed card swap on Facebook and decided I need a festive box to send my assortment of cards to my designated soldiers unit. Using the same color of cardstock paper used in the cards I made to swap with the other group members I made colorful panels that I will be decorating with stamps, bats and halloween related goodies.

Amour Card

Using a set of Stampin Up stamps I created this card. It is very similar to one I had found on Pinterest for inspiration. I have made a set of 20 cards like this to include in the 2015 AnySoldier All Occasion card swap group on Facebook.
