While I was trying to make the bed, kitty was not having it. So I decided to grab my camera instead. I adopted this sweet loving boy July 2017 from Pets And People Human Society. I had lost my kitty to some type of food poisoning a few weeks before, and my hubby decided I needed a new kitty. It just so happened this fellow lost his mother due to some sort of illness. We kind of needed each other I suppose. He had spent about 2 months in the shelter system. He pretty much likes staying in bed or trying to get me to go to bed. His label had said he likes to brushed in bed. I think he pretty much loves being in bed in general. He is not a snuggle up in your lap kind of cat, he likes to lay beside you snuggle up in your arm for as long as you can leave your arm still.
When moving about the house he spooks very easily, so I nicknamed him Spooky. He seems to actually come to that name. The name he was given to me by Pets and People he doesnt even acknowledge. So I call him Spooky, or just kitty. What cat doesn't answer to be called kitty. :)

For my card, I used this beautiful rose digi from her collection, ribbon, a doily, sticky backed pearls, a rose, a handmade fan, and I must not forget that pin! I made that years ago, when those pins seemed to be more common on cards. I haven't seen any in a while, but I still have my stash of them! ;)

One thing about COPIC markers if you don’t use them often you find out the hard way they have dried out. Also, I’m a bit rusty again since I’ve placed my coloring classes on pause. But practice makes perfect, right? This is for my December COPIC markers class at Kit and Clowder.

This week on Twisted Thursday the challenge is always ANYTHING GOES but the twist this week is NEW BEGINNINGS! For my new beginning card, I whipped up a bookmark for Mommy & Daddy to use in the books they read to that new baby girl. I added a cute Pompom as a tassle to my bookmarker.

For my first attempt for the Circle in a Square Granny square #3 in 365 Days of Granny Squares, by even watching the Yarntopia video tutorial somehow I lost count and made a mistake. By the time I made it to the end I had to add 3 extra stitches and ended up still being one short on one side. Ugh!
I need my written patterns! I already dread squares and question myself why am I doing these? I am doing them because I wanted to join in the fun with the other members of my Beginner's Crochet Group on Facebook. I have made through 3 and this one will need to be redone if I want to figure it out, but until I find a written pattern.

Day 2 of 365 Days of Granny Squares! This is the Solid Granny square. It is very easy to make but I tend to have a tight stitch and boy was this thing curling up on me. It took some effort to shape back up to a square without having to do a technique called wet blocking. #365daysofgrannysquares

Hey there friends and followers! Some of you may or may not know I run a Beginner's Crochet Group on Facebook. One of my members asked if anyone else was participating in the 365 Days of Granny Squares that Yarnutopia had put out on their blogs. I had to check it out! Even though I have already made a Basic Granny Square Tutorial myself for my group with step by step photos I decided to join in the fun! So here is square #1! #365daysofgrannysquares
