Using the free downloadable calendar from the Digistamps4Joy shop and a Bestie digi image I created this stand alone desktop calendar. I cannot think of the proper name, but I used "fluff" for the fuzz on the hat, A cupcake, sun, bird and little mouse stickers.

Hey blogging friends and followers, did you think I forgot about you? Of course I did not! I joined a crochet swap to make something representing the state in which I live. Since I am in Oklahoma the challenge for me was quite complicated. I decided on a crochet Navajo basket pattern. It was a free pattern which is my favorite kind! I am very pleased with how it turned out since it was the first time ever making a basket, and I am always a little nervous over how mine are going to turn out.
Do you want to make one for yourself? You will find the free pattern I used here:

I am so excited to start using my first label maker! I mentioned yesterday to my 21 year old daughter that I wanted a label maker for Christmas, and it was about $40 for the one I wanted, reasonable for a present. Today my husband slips in from work carrying a label maker! I have already made a few labels and trying to get more ideas from others on what they would label in their homes or businesses. Any ideas? Please comment below!

When I was trying to come up with a square theme for my state of Oklahoma. I had several ideas one of which was the state flower. The state flower is Mistletoe but according to the research I had done it was changed to a Rose in 2007. I made this square ti represent the new state flower. I am going to have to make quite a few squares for the ladies in the 50 States Square swap so I really needed something a bit easier than this particular square. I let the ladies in the group decide which square I should use this one or the Native American square shown on an earlier blog posting. The native American square won the vote. You can find the pattern for this square on Ravelry for free!
