What's On My Desk?

What's On My Desk? Well as I type this I hear little kids chanting "What's On My Desk?!!"  It's like my own theme in my head of course to my post to boost up my energy and write it with enthusiasm. :D

Yesterday, after having lunch with my hubby at our favorite Mexican joint in town, we headed over to one of my NEW favorite stores of all time... lol.. Bed Bath and Beyond!! I know I don't get out much! But I will tell you the very few times I make it to this store I see SOOOO much I want to buy! My husband was with me and he's worse than I am.. somehow he ended up with a Soda Making Machine! Just when we are trying not to drink soda and have as much soda pop in the house...lol! Oh well it makes him happy. He said he always wanted one... lol! The Root Beer's not bad. It's likes Shasta Root Beer in my opinion, he swears it's just like A&W so I won't burst his bubble. :)

So any hoot! Guess what is just right across the parking lot from Bed Bath and Beyond? Paper Arts! My local scrappers supply store! Oh yes! I wish I stopped there first! I felt so bad for as much we spent at the last store that I was just getting what I needed sticky tape stuff. I ordered some from BenFranklin stores online on Sept 8th, still have not received it, I couldn't do any paper crafting! So I stopped in Paper Arts and on my desk you will see on top of my tiny green shopping bag, my new sticky tape! I have never tried it but the owner of the store gave me an entire tutorial right then and there on all the sticky stuff I  bought. I felt odd with hubby right behind me but I didn't want to be rude, she was eager to teach me and I am eager to learn! Luckily his phone rang so he stepped outside. As I was checking out I seen it something I have been wanting to try and still haven't! Liquid pearls! AAAAAAaaah! I am so happy! Already used it on my newest project that I am working on. It's on my desk, on top of my paper cutter.

On my desk you will also find another rather large package going out, Flat Stanley waiting to go site seeing, peeking out behind my hand crafted clay name plate that Deanna, a dear friend, she made for me back in high school days. Peeking behind it is my newest Crafter's Digital Art Center Digi of a piglet for the Progressive Challenge! It is getting messier by the minute! Wait till my next posting! Lot's of projects going on in the future! Lots of messes to make! Weeeeeee!

What's On My Desk?

Tonight I wanted to try something new on my blog to fill in some of that dreaded blog space  you know the space between blog posts! Well who is willing to show off their desks after crafty time fun? I cleaned mine up tonight so I guess I cheated by posting my finished cleaned up version, but who wouldn't want to start their first messy desk post with a nice clean desk. You'll see as I make future posts of "What's On My Desk?" what kind of mess I get into during crafty time fun! I thought it might be fun to share so let's see what happens! :D

On my desk tonight, I have my donated cards to send to Trina my newest Martha Stewart Living Magazine, my newest card in purple that I made to apply for a designer position ando On my corkboard you may see a card you made if your a friend or blog follower of mine that has sent me a card! I decided to post them on my cork board as inspiration. I have more to pin so maybe in the next photo you will see a card you made for me. ;)

I had a hard time being able to get a picture taken of  What's on my desk tonight I had a visitor that wanted to be the center of attention... 

 

Craft Room Shelves are Filling!

Okay it is coming together. The supplies are in. I found me a chair to use in my craft room have all my things stuffed here and there! I actually have space on the desk to make a card! :D I have already played in my crafty stuff and finished one today! I couldn't find most anything but I managed. I still have a long way to go to get this stuff organized but for now it looks good enough for me! Besides it taking me 15 minutes to figure out where my stickles were placed it is a much better space to be creative in than the small corner I had before!

We still have more of the house to repair and clean up from fire/soot damages but the most important rooms are done. My kitchen and craft room! :D

White Lacquer Cabinets & Trim

My new crafty space was a lot of work, I am so glad that is over. It was a lot of work getting all those cabinets put in and painted along with the walls and trim. My hubby made my cabinets with lots of adjustable shelving, don't they look amazing! I am so excited to move into my new space tomorrow after the carpet is installed.

It is coming together! My son moved out, and we moved our daughter to his old room and turned her room with the smaller closet of the two rooms into our new home office craft space. I am so looking forward to getting our house back together from the fire/smoke damage so that I can really spread my wings in my new inspiring space! We painted the wood work today and tomorrow the ceiling, walls and paint the shelves to those cabinets by Tuesday when the new carpet arrives! :D
