Christmas Cards in the making!

Hey there again!

Today I am sharing this simple card I made using an image I colored up about 10 years ago. I wish I knew who the artist was at this moment, but as soon as I figure it out I will update this posting. I have had these images in my stash for some time and finally decided to get them on a card. I believe I received this image at Crafters Digital Art Center or CDAC. I loved that site, miss it actually. I liked that many digi artists had groups on the site and offered freebies right there. There were challenges and tutorials, it was kind of like The Outlawz Challenges but a bit more, in my opinion. :) Don’t get me wrong I am the go to advocate for The Outlawz Challenges. I left for a few years and missed it terribly and now I vow to never leave until it is no more. That is, at least for as long as I am divulging in a paper craft hobby. :) I am currently the Design Team Leader for Twisted Thursdays as well as a Designer on Tuesdays Color challenges. I ran the Monday Greetings challenges for a few years when I joined. The Outlawz is a wonderful family of talented paper crafters. We have a new challenge every day of the week, a Progressive Freebie challenge, sketch challenges on Wednesdays, just so much fun and so many ideas to inspire you.

Hats off to You!

Hello again friends and followers! Today I am sharing a card I made using three different images! First off I colored my images with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from MHK Designs they can be found at

MHKDesigns's shop on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/shop/MHKDesigns

The hat rack image is from Digistamps4Joy. They are no longer selling their images. But they can be found at

https://digistamps4joy-sa.blogspot.com/2014/02/monthly-christmas-challenge-february.html

The hat I received from a site called Crafters Digital Art Center or CDAC. They are no longer online. I am trying to use up images I have had printed in my stash, and these three just came together for me.

Tangled Christmas

Hello there friends and followers! Today I am here to share this card I made using die cuts, an embossing folder, a few various design papers from my scraps, and this cute free image I received years ago in the Crafters Digital Art Center website. The web site has since shut down, but I already had him colored up in my stash so I decided it was time to give him a forever home.
If you know the artist of this adorable image please comment below with their name or websites so I can give credit to the artist.

Here Lil' Piggy!

Oh my goodness I just love this little fella I was given from the Crafters Digital Art Center's Progressive Challenge! I loved Charlotte's Web as a kid and this little piglet reminded me of the story in which I adored as a child. As soon as I seen it I thought he's perched for some reason  and instead of Charlotte the spider, he's perched for a butterfly that has landed on a Quilled flower. He also was the perfect rounded shape and space I needed to practice for my Copic Class 1,the light source with my Copic Markers. :)

CDAC Progressive Challenge

Digi Image By Tiffany Doodles

At Crafter's Digital Art Center they are having fun in the sun with this fantastic surf board image from Tiffany Doodles. If you hurry you to can have this image to play with. You only have till September 16th.

Above is the card I created with the image. I paper pieced the surf boards and coated them with glossy accents to give them a  surf board feel. For the sunset I used a sponge dabber and some stamp pad ink. For the ocean I had torn off a strip of paper and then used the dabber to create a water effect.

Independance Day Accessories

What a fun project! This was my first attempt at using Glossy Accents so I still have some learning to do to get it to not have bubbles. I plan on wearing it for Independence Day! :D  I found it to be a fun project that even kids could do! I found this tutorial at CDAC.

Easter Bonnets & Colored Eggs

The freebie image challenges end tonight at CDAC! Here's my latest creations from the freebies!

Sock It To Me!

Isn't this the cutest project! It is socks! What a great way to give socks!  I have been thinking of so many great people to give something like this to! When I gave birth to my first born almost 19 years ago, someone in the hospital brought all the new mother's  small ivy starter plants. I thought it was so cute and such a great idea! This Sock It To Me gift would be great too don't you think as a new mother gift! Mine has Dr. Scholl's socks with rubber grippy stuff that feels so weird! You just want to keep touching it!

Another great gift receiver of this item is to give them out at nursing homes. I really always think & pray about everyone staying there do they have any family left, are they visited often, were they forgotten. It makes me sad. I have never known really anyone in my family that have lived long enough to be placed in a nursing home, I guess there is some positive things to that, I never had to see the sadness in their faces, or the loneliness.  I take that back my Grandmother had Alzheimer's and was living with my Uncle when she was sent to a nursing home. I will tell you she seemed happier than I had ever seen her in my life. She seemed sane, I mean that with all do respect but she was off a bit and I know where I get my crazy side. Any how, she was fixing her hair and even put on lipstick when we visited. She had a boyfriend in the nursing home too. I can't believe I almost forgot all about that moment in time. But I worry about when they don't feel so happy, receiving something like this Sock it to Me gift would bright anyone's day! Plus the recipient can keep the socks in the cup at all times when they are clean so they know where to find them! :D

Okay so how can you make one of these? I know I am very long winded when I am excited about a project! Go to CDAC for the tutorial!

CDAC Beaded Stick Pin Swap

I love the look of these pins on a card in a bow or in a scrapbook. I haven't tried using one myself but it really adds a beautiful touch. This is my first time ever making beaded stick pins and my first time swapping something other than cards. I hope I do not make the other ladies in the CDAC swap disappointed, I really know nothing about bead quality.

I found these bags in the jewelry making section at my local craft supply store. They were useful!

Letting my alcohol inks dry. A piece of craft Styrofoam that I stuck in my craft supplies for who knows how long became useful!

A few finished packages for the pin swap, plus some!

Stick Pin Bead Container

Here's my part of a project at CDAC for their Beaded Stick Pin Swap. This is the container I created to store the pins in just poke through twice and the point is inside the pocket. Do not leave the clothes pin on to long they will stick!!

The finished project, yet to come after I have mailed my pins to the hostess! I want them to be a surprise!! :D

My day so far reminds me of a card I made for a challenge last fall. This card says it all!

I think I can finally concentrate on fun things like the beaded pin swap I joined. I haven't finished up my packaging and so far I have one finished and it is so very cute!!! I can't wait to send them to the ladies at CDAC!!

Holiday/Special Occasion Challenge

Here's what I have created from the free digi image at
CDAC
for the challenge! I also submitted this card at SSC for the Copic Challenge.  I also used some of the beginner Quilling items I had made. My husband was asking me how come I hadn't been using the Quilling items on my cards so I had to make sure I keep him happy and show him a few cards with some Quilled items. :)
