1998So many things of Mom I miss-- Her gentle hug and tender kiss. I still can feel her warm embrace and picture yet her loving face. A mother's tasks are never done and heaven must have needed one. For angels came and took her hand and led her to God's promised land. She's surely kept quite busy there while brushing little angels hair. Making sure their dressed just right, not staying out to late at night. Although there's sadness this I know, she's waiting there her face aglow. I close my eyes and I can see, her arms still open wide for me. Happy Birthday to you Mom. I miss you so much.
My mother being held by her father, with her mother and only sibling her older sister.

Here Comes Peter Cotton tail in a crochet chocolate bunny form! I made this in a day and I am so proud I only made it once and it turned out actually looking like a bunny on the first shot! :D I finished him off with a cute lime green ribbon.
These are all the pieces you make and then once attached the bunny looks like this

Here's the 20 cards I created for the Spring/Easter card swap! I used Anne Fenton's image for 19 of the cards for my Easter image. I was able to practice using my Copic markers and I recruited my daughter to help color them! :D
The first card that was finished we embellished up with ribbon to show what this card can look like with just a little more added to it. I decided to keep them less bulky to send to the swap group.

Oh why didn't I think of this last year? These calendars are such a simple and great idea! I redesigned the calendar I made for The Outlawz Copic Challenge. I changed the ribbon and gave him some patterned paper that I added photo corners so that each month can be changed. I have two calendars in the making so far.

I was inspired by the CAS Challenge at The Outlawz to research gift tags. I discovered a page from Tim Holtz his 12 tags of Christmas. I didn't have all the products he used but I was inspired and here are the ones I created for the Tag theme in CAS. I don't think they really fall in the category of CAS but I had to show them off! :D

House Mouse stamps are some of my very favorite! Over at Paper Craft Planet they are challenging us in the HM & Friends Group to use our HM (House Mouse) stamps to make a calendar to be finished by the end of year to give as a gift next holiday season. In my calendar I added photo corners to a piece of scrap paper so that the months can be changed out using the one page.

What a fun crafty project to do through the year! My New Years resolution just happened to be to make one handmade Christmas present a month so that by next Christmas I will have 12 gifts to give. This fabulous challenge at The Outlawz couldn't have been a better idea! I wish I would have thought of it! But I will be playing with the gals in the Copic Challenge! The image used is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. If you haven't been to The Outlawz, you should come join us!
