Yesterday I had a Crafty social gathering with old friends. I had Blueberry Muffins ready to snack on when they arrived for breakfast. I made them fresh chicken sandwiches, and for dessert I made for the first time Lemon Meringue Pie! We added dividers for her box of essential oils and we played with clay. These are my items from our fun filled day. It was my first try but we hope to add more items like these to my Etsy store! ;)

Cookies for Santa Charger
Hey there friends and followers!
My daughter sends me a text Thursday afternoon, "I need a gift for Dirty Santa for my Christmas Party at work!I have no money, what can I do?" I replied, "How about a plate/charger that says Cookies for Santa?" she replies "That would be cute, do you have a charger?" and what do you know, I just so happen to have a couple I have been saving for this very project idea! I whipped up the design with my Silhouette Cameo software, and within minutes and a few air headed mistakes we had her gift ready to go! She texts me later in the evening to tell me she is keeping the plate for her self, and not going to stay at the party very long. LOL! I knew she wouldn't want to give it away. This year is her first Christmas not only in her own apartment with her own tree, but with her boyfriend! I told her I was glad she didnt because I would like to add reindeer names going around the edge. I had been thinking of it every since she left out of here!

Deco Rubber Gloves
My first attempt at creating decorative rubber gloves. I joined the pen pal wagon on Facebook and one of my pen friends sent me some chain letters. In each letter you are to send different items to the first person on the list. You remove their name from the list move the 2nd name up and place your name as the 2nd name. Eventually you should receive a pair of gloves or whatever the item is in the chain letter. In this case, it is rubber gloves. At first thought I was like rubber gloves? Why? But then I researched Pinterest for ideas to make your ordinary rubber glove extraordinary!
I found the gloves at Dollar Tree, the ribbon and tulle were purchased at Hobby Lobby, and the table cloth fabric I used was from a table cloth I purchased at Wal-Mart.

Stocking Twist
I found this great idea on Pinterest! It is suppose to look like a sled. I ran out Christmas eve to the local grocery picked up two King size Kit Kat's, a bag of the small Hershey chocolate minis, and a box of candy canes! Use a Cuttlebug tag punch made some tags and with a little shipping tape, holiday bow and fun ribbon I had this completed in a matter of minutes! It was a nice change than going over board on the pocket buying bags and bags of stuff to put in stocking.

Masquerade Mask
Masquerade theme for this years Prom. My daughter researched what it would cost for a mask and she discovered it would cost nearly $100 to buy one. I told her I knew that my local hobby store carries items that she might be able to use to make her own mask. She was not to keen on the idea. A handmade mask? Oh great. She had a photo of a mask she liked and off to the store we went. Once we started it took us about 3 hours or so to finish. I think it looks fantastic! It looks even better in person and will match her dress perfectly!

Calendar Fun.. I can't stop Myself!
Oh why didn't I think of this last year? These calendars are such a simple and great idea! I redesigned the calendar I made for The Outlawz Copic Challenge. I changed the ribbon and gave him some patterned paper that I added photo corners so that each month can be changed. I have two calendars in the making so far.

HM Calendar Jan 2013
House Mouse stamps are some of my very favorite! Over at Paper Craft Planet they are challenging us in the HM & Friends Group to use our HM (House Mouse) stamps to make a calendar to be finished by the end of year to give as a gift next holiday season. In my calendar I added photo corners to a piece of scrap paper so that the months can be changed out using the one page.

Photo Tile Coasters
First print out pictures on tissue paper using painters tape to hold the tissue paper to a regular sheet of printer paper.
Cut the tissue paper pictures out and modpodge the tile then lay the tissue paper down and modpodge the top, do not put to much glue on it will cause the ink on tissue paper to run more. A thin layer of the mod podge, let dry about 20 minutes and place on two more coats allowing to dry in between. Once it has dried. You will need to seal with a Clear Acrylic water proof sealer. Allow 72 hours to cure. You did it!
You will see behind this card I wrapped the tiles in floral fabric that I had on stash from flowers I have received in the past and this home made project is ready to give to family and friends!

Cigar Box Make-Over
First I cover the top and sides with scrapbook paper.
Next I added a little slight touches of my daughter's favorite color..pink.
With the tools above and a few rhinestone embellishments this was an easy fun project to give my teenaged daughter.

Twisted Thursdays Challenge
What a super fun challenge at The Outlawz Twisted Thursdays! For my ornament I quilled snowflakes. I searched the internet for the perfect snowflake poem and found a unique poem from Emily Wilburton. I chose to print the poem out and attach it to the tags of the snowflakes. On the back of the tag is says that this snowflake was made by me! :D I love how they turned out. It was a perfect craft to do while watching movies with the family, with the exception of the lights were so dim I thought I was using all white paper to quill but oh well, it is definitely a one of a kind snowflake!
Each of us are a snowflake
not two of us the same.
Reflections of the endless loving
source from which we came.
Unique in form and beauty
Crystallized at birth.
Little flecks of heaven
born to melt into the earth.
We are each of us a snowflake
of infinite design.
Transitory dancers
on the window panes of time.
Unique in form and beauty
No two of us the same.
Reflections of the endless loving
source from which we came.
We are each of us a snowflake
a falling star in flight.
A traveler through the universe
in search of our own light.
Unique in form and beauty
No two of one design.
Transitory dancers
on the window pane of time.
