Rain Boots With Tulips

Hey friends and followers! It is time for an Anything Goes Challenge on Twisted Thursday at Outlawz Challenges! This weeks twist is Anything Goes. We have a wonderful sponsor this month

For my card, I am using the digi called Rain Boots with Tulips. I found a pair of rain boots online that were similar in color that I used as a reference, coloring this image with my Copic Markers. I added in several design papers, and the beautiful lace ribbon. I cut the bird out from another design paper to add in a feathery friend.

For my card, I am using some adorable yellow buttons I had in my stash, gray chevron paper, yellow hounds tooth paper, 2 blue brads, a blue strip of paper embossed, sheer black ribbon, die cut It's A Boy sentiment, colored the digi with Copic Markers and printed on Neenah Classic Crest White paper, I dotted the eyes with glossy accents as well as the tips of the safety pins in his diaper and used Liquid pearls on the diaper.

Dragons Lair Design Coloring Challenge

Today I finished my card for the July coloring challenge at Dragons Lair Designs in Facebook. For this image I colored it using Copic Markers, I used yellow glitter glue in the bow of package, and purple stickles on the package. I dotted the eyes with white gel pens, and the dotted the eyes, claws and teeth with Glossy Accents.

For my card I am using the digi Dog Days of Summer. I used tips and tricks from this months July Copic marker class at Kit and Clowder to help me with my coloring of this furry friend and background. I used a clear stamp for the sentiment and the bone, and by adding a touch of Glossy accents to the shades it really made them pop from the page! Tree of Life

Hey my friends! Today I had to share this beautiful project my friend and I made for one of her dear friends who recently married. We spent 22 long hours shopping and crafting to get this beautiful gift created. I believe it was time well spent, it is absolutely beautiful, and now I want one for myself. 

I would have shown you all sooner, but I had to wait for the gift to be received.

I will make this post short and sweet! 

When creating this card my vision was a lonely wildflower growing at the corner of an old building. Using my wood patterned papers I tried to create the look of wood panels, I topped off my bee with some Glitter on the wings, and used a dot of glossy accents on his feeet. Believe it or not the birthday girl sentiment I have had in my stash since 2009 I think! :) I used my first Cricut Bug machine, and very first pens. If I had one craft room goal, it would be to use up these items I have had stashed for years. It’s time to get crafting!

Watercolors

Yesterday, my hubby twisted my arm into buying the the Bright Pad by Cricut. It didn’t take much twisting as I was the one who brought up wanting one for my birthday next month. He insisted we get it that minute so I could play with it in my craft room. My first project was tracing this rose image from my mothers stained glass art photocopies. Once I had it traced I decided to paint it up with watercolors. I haven’t taken any classes on watercolor painting, so this was going to be a fun new project to attempt. 

I started this project yesterday, and worked on it throughout the day off and on, only finishing a few moments ago, just in time to get to bed at a descent hour.

DoTerra Essential Oil Labels

Yesterday, a friend of mine came over to do some crafting. We had a fun 11 1/2 hours of shopping at Hobby Lobby and doing crafts. We were making a wedding gift for a friend of hers. While we were at it we whipped up these labels on my Silhouette Cameo for her bottles of Essential Oils. Once the wedding gift has been received I can post photos of their beautiful gift.

Kit And Clowder October 2017 Marker Class

Hello there friends and followers! Today I spent my day working on the October 2017 Marker class offered by Kit and Clowder. I dont know why, but this felt like the hardest class I have taken, yet. It might have been the crashing of my marker bag onto the floor that made it seem even more dreadful to complete. What a mess that was.

I managed to get the markers reorganized in my marker bag somewhat and continued on with my project. I had a lot of difficulty with the tree and the sky. It never fails once I think I can take on an entire class I find a marker dried out and another nib ruined. It sure makes it a hassle when trying to blend out colors. The adorable digi in this class is called Penguin Party and it can be found at Whimsy Stamps!

My Creative Scoop May Copic Marker Class

I found My Creative Scoop while searching Pinterest. My Creative Scoop is a web site that offers digis to color and also fun marker classes all online. I had asked Mindy, the owner at My Creative Scoop to sponsor our Twisted Thursday challenge in January 2018, and today I finally decided to take her May Copic coloring class. 

This beautiful digi is purchased from Whimsy Stamps, and Mindy teaches you how to color it up to look beautiful! I love taking the online courses for techniques, and I love the variety of teachers out there willing to help us better our skills. I once was a skeptic about the online courses, but now I am hooked! If you are chewing on the idea of classes, I highly reccomend them. There are free classes to get you hooked, and from there you are on your own! :)
