Kit and Clowder Crayola Challenge

I must be honest, I was not a fan of this challenge. I paid good money for those markers and pencils not to use them. Lol! Top that off my brand new large box  with sharpener of Crayola Crayons is missing and I had to use the children's stash, which grossed me out. I only used colors I could see after I would shake the bag up. Lol! My kids are in their 20's now. I really think I need to have a talk with my daughter about tossing these. But for now, maybe it will get me a wonderful prize from the challenge by using them. :)

Kit and Clowder Celebration

This little cutie was super fun to color with my Copic markers! Not to mention at Kit and Clowder's Online classes she offered a free class along with this digi to help you learn along with her how to color it up! I hadn't taken a hair, or background class, so this was something I could really use, and a freebie! I am so excited!  I took what I learned in yesterday's Pencil Class and a background class and applied those techniques here. You see those techniques in my clouds and the ground cover.

August Pencil Class

I am totally shocked that I actually colored this! I mean, of course I know I can color, but like this? Uh no. Apparently I can with classes from Kit and Clowder and Prismacolor pencils I bought at My local Hobby Lobby. 

Alyce at Kit and Clowder is a wonderful teacher, and you can take the classes at your own pace which is real nice! If you decide you want classes be sure to let Alyce know I recommend you and we can split the gift certificate she offers me for sending you over! Seriously you will not be disappointed and this month there are free classes with free digi images!

Kit and Clowder August Pencil Class

Having so much fun today! So glad I decided to start this class today! I have learned so much already, looking forward to using these techniques on other digi's! Only 6 days left to upload  my work and get a chance for a prize in the giveaway! :)

Kit and Clowder Classes Begin!

Last month, I skipped classes because  I have this pet peeve that I need to be uploading my class assignments before the next class which is on the 15th! That means I have 6 days! But, Kit and  Clowder is celebrating 15000 members on Facebook, so they have free digi's, classes, oh my goodness so much excitement! I am ready to get this party started! Original Anysoldier Card Swap -CLOSING!

I would like to thank everyone who helped keep Anysoldier Card Swap group here on Facebook Up and running. I have been involved with this group for 10 years, it started in the forums at the Anysoldier Inc. website. I took it over a few years ago from the Yahoo group where it had moved after the website forums were shut down by Marty Horn. The forums closing was pretty much the beginning of the end of the group, but I gave it a good run here on Facebook, by trying to keep it going strong for our soldiers. It is with great sorrow that I have decided to call it quits, participation has shrank from over 20 members a swap regularly to lucky enough to have 3, including myself For last two years. Thank you all for your support, your cards and letters. I am grateful to Anysoldier Card Swaps for giving me the card making Bug as a hobby and the lives we have touched sending out care packages with your letters, cards and gifts. God bless you all! Dr Who Custom T-shirt

Hey there friends and followers! 

I bring you a custom shirt I made for the birthday boy in my family that likes Dr Who. He was home when I was making it, and caught me in the process. He made sure that I knew the bow tie does not go with this Dr Who saying. But I hadn't seen the show so I went off of what I had researched in T-shirt designs for Dr Who. Oh well, what do you do! It probably wont fit him anyways. He is a tall young man and seems to think he wears a medium, so this is a medium, I am saying to myself there is no way. But we will find out in a few days, on his birthday! :)

Woo Hoo! I had no idea as a team designer I could win anything. I guess I was concentrating on my team that I hadn't really payed much attention. Lol! GO FIGURE! Carpenter Rules

Hey there crafty friends! Today I am sharing a shirt I designed for a Carpenter. We own and operate a cabinet manufacturing company and through the years we have discussed buying shirts for all the guys in the shop. It was the main reason my hubby agreed to purchasing my first Cricut cutting machine, he wanted me to make all sorts of things for his business. I never did with the Cricut my machines blade from the start were not working well with vinyl. 

It was a few years later all the rave was on the Silhouette Cameo machine, and its blades were nice and sharp! I have made 3 shirts this year for the hubby's business. Eventually all the guys will have their own shirt with its own quirky little saying on the back. I still have a few bugs to work out, for instance in this design the shirt is a 4X, I wish I had made the banner larger, for that size shirt it kind of looked a little small, but hey I am sure the employee will have it stained up and dirty before you know it and he will need another! My goal is to make each guy 5 shirts, one for every day of the week during warm months, and then I will need to make winter shirts, and hats you name it! The ideas are endless, thanks to Pinterest! LOL! 

Time to get a few more rows in on my hubby's afghan, I need little side projects like this shirt to keep me from going bonkers due to crochet afghan overload! Until next time, much love and craftiness to you all!

One great thing about being a card designer is that you want to use your art and craft supplies to enter all the fun challenges. Who cares if you win a prize, to me I win every time I complete a card or project. I try to use all my crafty supplies so that I don't feel like I wasted money on any of this clutter. Card making helps me use up some of it. It is even better when you get a cute little image from the sponsor to play with like this adorably cranky crab from this months sponsor Whimsy Stamps.
