Masquerade theme for this years Prom. My daughter researched what it would cost for a mask and she discovered it would cost nearly $100 to buy one. I told her I knew that my local hobby store carries items that she might be able to use to make her own mask. She was not to keen on the idea. A handmade mask? Oh great. She had a photo of a mask she liked and off to the store we went. Once we started it took us about 3 hours or so to finish. I think it looks fantastic! It looks even better in person and will match her dress perfectly!

Oh my gosh girl this is fabulous!! What a great idea to make your own and look at what you saved! Awesome and I want photo's of her with it on!
Wow... this is gorgeous!!! You could totally make these to sell!! Love it! I'm sure she is very pleased, isn't she??
She is unsure what she thinks about it, since she made it. Her Dad spray painted the mask she cut out the lace and edging for around eyes and nose area, I attached the lace for her, together we put the edging on and the hardest part of all was her deciding where she wanted the rhinestones if she even wanted rhinestones.. lol! I think it turned out great!
Angela, Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. This is the first time I have been by your blog and I find it so interesting, you do all kinds of different things and that is so wonderful. I love these masks. That was such a great idea. I would never pay that price for a mask and you did such a stunning job I love both of the masks. I'm now one of your followers.
Hugs, Patricia
