For this card my daughter wanted to try her luck at card making. She colored and designed most of the card. I added the sentiment and the snowflakes. She's a natural!

Extra Cards for Anysoldier

One of the Anysoldier junkies didn't make it in time for the holiday card swap and wanted to know if anyone would be willing to pitch in some cards to send to her so that she could still take part in some manner and have a variety of cards from across the nation to still be able to send to her soldier units. I volunteered to make some for her. It took me a few days before I stopped adding glitter to all the winter holiday cards I had been making and then I finally broke out these holiday stamps from Hero Arts Collectors Edition.

CFC Challenge at The Outlawz 2

Oh my goodness! If you have not stopped in at The Outlawz and taken part in the CFC Challenge then you do not know what you are missing! The above image is of the card I made using Anne's beautiful artwork on this digi image. For my card I colored the image with Copic markers added some holly embossing at the top layered the papers, used a decorative corner punch and the sentiment is from one of last years Christmas cards I had received and I punched it out and distressed the edges. I cannot wait to send this to family or friends!

What is CFC? It is the Creative Freebie Challenge! Look at this gorgeous image above of the card I made using Sandi's digital art. Using her image I tried some embossing,  paper piecing, added some pearls, some rhinestones and ended with this beautiful card that I am very pleased with!

Anysoldier Winter Swap Cards

Give Thanks

This week on the Greetings team at The Outlawz we want to see how you say Thank You. Oh yes,the time of year to remember what you are Thankful for has arrived. In just a few weeks we will be celebrating Thanksgiving here in the United States. I am prepping myself for a long day in the kitchen, but the rewards of the tasty Turkey and all that follows makes me smile!

For my Thank You card I used this little Spanish fellow. I know it is not your typical Thanksgiving card. I normally would have been more traditional. I had this digi stamp already printed out with the cactus, I thought oh why not! The cloud appearance I used a sponge, cloud template I made and a stamp pad. I used my Copic marker to give it the look of tiny pebbles under his feet. Topped it off with some colorful striped paper to give it a swag and added some sparkly pom pom balls.

At Anysoldier.com we are gearing up for the Christmas Card Swap. Since I have been so busy camping this year I decided to ask for volunteers from my Outlawz sistahs to send me cards to help  me get the 20 cards I need to send to the swap hostess.

My first cards have arrived from Roxann. Thank you so much, Roxann! These are so darn cute!! I know the soldiers will cherish them!
