Crochet Rose
I was hoping to add a different sort of embellishment on my cards but this rose turned out to large for a card. But it turned out great! I am so proud! Maybe I will attach it to an afghan or something.

Mini Crochet Christmas Stocking
Mini Christmas Stocking in Single Crochet
Pattern by Teresa Richardson
Size I Crochet Hook
Years ago somewhere around late 80's my Aunt Connie made me a few crochet items for Christmas. Ever since I received a mini stocking like these I wanted a set for my entire Christmas tree. I still don't have enough for an entire tree but I still just love these stockings! I found the pattern and made some of my own and they are so adorable!!

RIP Eboniezer Kitty
Mother Earth, we give you back your child.
Noble, regal, honorable cat.
Watch over him, and guide him on his way
to the spirit world.
May he be blessed in your names,
and hunt ever after beside you.
RIP Eboneizer Kitty... We lost our beloved cat today. I found him outside my home just moments ago. He really was the best cat I have ever met in my life. I rescued him from Petsmart Free To Live in 2003 after a previous cat went missing that looked like him I could have sworn it was my cat, but realized he's even better. He will be dearly missed by me, he was the most awesome cat ever!

Stamp pads for scenic background colors!!
Today's inspiration comes from craftingtheweb. I have been playing with my stamp pads and trying to make a winter background.
Card of Firsts
I printed this free digi image onto card stock not sure if that is how it is done or not. After coloring with my Prisma color markers and adding some Stickles for sparkle, I decided to add on the first paper rose I made. This card is full of firsts! It was the first time I used these two different Cuttlebug embossing folders, the purple ribbon and the purple pearl I placed inside the rose.

Paper Roses
It is my first try making paper roses. I searched the internet to infinity and beyond trying to find a free tutorial on how to make these paper roses I see all over cards and scrapbooks. To be honest I couldn't get the center twisted tight as was shown in the video I had found but I am happy they look like flowers at all. I need to search for videos on how to color them so they look even more real but for today I am excited about how they came together!
I cut these flowers using my Cricut machine & my Sure Cuts A Lot program using an svg file I made of the pattern.

WORK?!!!
My hubby calls me from work yesterday to share his GREAT news. He wanted to tell me he has a builder who wants a store front but unsure what to have in his store front besides an office. My hubby has been wanting a store front for his cabinet shop business for years. Apparently the builder has a brother who owns a strip mall with an empty spot. The builder and my hubby talk things over and decided it would be a great idea to go into this together.Who can run the store since they have other obligations? Guess whose name was thrown out there?

Cruise CANCELLED
We were expected to leave in 7 days. It seemed like fate that we were supposed to be on this cruise. Our room number was our wedding date scrambled. My husband and I never talked about going on a cruise until this last Summer. We were camping with a camping group when someone had mentioned that they had returned from a cruise and wanted to get together for a cruise instead of camping. We thought, "why sure it sounds like it would be a lot of fun." When we returned home my hubby realized he new several people through work that had been on cruises and before we new it we were going on a cruise sooner than we had planned. As the days were nearer to departure my hubby being the business owner he is began to stress about leaving when work is going so well. He decided we should hold off until next year. I was extremely nervous, but yet very excited about going on a cruise for the first time in my life. I went shopping for what I called cruise wear. I was ready to go, have my passport, all I need is a suitcase! So I thought. I needed someone besides myself to tell my hubby that it will be okay if we go out of town. Business will be fine. We will only be gone a week. But there was no one telling him.
So as the days get closer to departure the search to find someone to fill in for us continues. We will not get a refund but can have the names changed on our tickets for a fee. It seems everything is pointing us in the direction that we should go now. But for some reason my husband isn't feeling right about it. Unfortunately now that we have already paid 1700 to reserve our room Carnival Cruise lines would not let us reschedule the dates for a later time, and even though we found another couple to go in our place all that would be needed to do is change the names for the room and Carnival Cruise lines will not change but one person's name for the room, which leads us to our 1700 donation to Carnival Cruise Lines. Geez I hope they enjoy the empty room and the money they are losing by not allowing us to change the dates or the names of the occupants. I have never been on a cruise and after this fiasco I WILL NEVER CRUISE CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES!!

Stamp & Scrap October Week 1
Create a project using:
1 Christmas Sentiment
2 Christmas Embellishments, and
3 Christmas Colors
1 Christmas Sentiment
2 Christmas Embellishments, and
3 Christmas Colors
In this card I used my Cricut machine to cut out the frame, and the Sentiment. I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, made an accordion flower using the technique I learned at Simply Scrapping, and finished it off with a bow!
Horse - Happy Birthday!
I was trying to come up with a birthday card for a teen boy when I first picked out my color scheme for this card. By the time it was finished it didn't look so boyish to me any longer. I used an old horse charm from an earring that had no mate as an embellishment. The ribbon I received from winning the drawing for the Back To School Challenge Home Ec.
