Toilet Paper Crafts?

In the Cuttle-buggers group at Paper Craft Planet we were challenged to try this technique using toilet paper.You can locate the technique at this website:

The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug it is called Mary Ann. After mine dried, I used an Inky Roller and ran it through my baby blue stamp pad and just rolled it over the embossed toilet paper. The handmade flower embellishment I won back in the Fall of 2010 at a card challenge site called Simply Scrapping Crafts from the Scrapbook Challenge that a girl named Emily was hostessing. SHe hand made me these beautiful fabric embellishments!

Stenciling with Your Spellbinders!

In the Cuttle-buggers group at Paper Craft Planet We were challenged to stencil using your Spellbinders in the Cuttle-bug. For my card I used the stencil shown below. Do you have a Cuttle-bug? Want to know more of what crafty kind of stuff you can do with it? You should join in the challenges at Paper Craft Planet. The Cuttle-buggers are looking for more participants! In my card I used the flower cut border that is at least 3 years old, I cut it when I first received my baby Cricut machine.

 

 To help me with my card making skills. I am currently in Class 3 of Color Me Creative Classes taught by Suzanne Dean. I am learning how to color darker skin tones at the moment and this image I used as a practice piece. I apologize for the novice coloring.. practice makes perfect right! I am really enjoying the classes, Suzanne is a very classy, smart, talented artist and I can say she is an absolute sweetheart; I have met her in person so I can attest to that! 

She has inspired me to want to take my Copics to the next level, after I feel more comfortable with my skills from my classes my goal is to pursue my Copic Intermediate Certification and help other crafters in my area become familiar with using their Copic markers.

Folding Tea Bags?

No, no, no, we are not folding tea bags. When we say we are making a tea  bag fold there are a ton of different paper or fabric folds that are referred to as a tea bag fold. Over at Paper Craft Planet in the Cuttle-Buggers group they challenged us to make a tea bag fold. I decided to take this challenge! I had no clue what a tea bag fold even is. I google searched online for it and found a link to a Pinterest page with several to choose from. I picked one and went with it. I didn't think I was accomplishing it, but once I had my pieces folded and put together it looks pretty neat.

New Digistamps4Joy Images!

Heres the latest new release image this Sunday at Digistamps4Joy! She's such a beautiful mermaid! I hope you like the card I made using this image! It has actually been a while since I made a card. I put the paper down and started on some crocheting projects. As usual after a while I get bored of my hobby and have to do something else so here I am making a card. I miss the majority of new release Sunday image release days so I wanted to take part.

New Challenge at Digistamps4Joy

StampTV Challenge #2!

I had so much fun challenging myself in my first challenge at StampTV.com that I decided to do another challenge! Your chances at prizes for Gina K stamps are good if you use Gina K stamps within your card. (crossing my fingers this time) My second challenge I used the same stamp as the first challenge! I feel so creative!  This Mondays challenge is.. make a patriotic card, but no red & blue. I hope they aren't  picky about my colors, it looks blue in the photo but it is Teal & Cranberry mostly used here. :) My patriotism showing in my USA stamp as well as the Eagle stamp on my make believe envelope to a soldier.

StampTV First TImer Challenge Entry #2

Here she is, my challenge card #2 for the StampTV Challenge this week. This is in color and card #1 is in Black & White. I really enjoyed participating in this challenge it had been a while since I really took a challenge and I had forgotten how much I really enjoy being a challenge participant!

First Timer Challenger at Stamp TV!

First off I would like to take this opportunity to thank my crafty friend Regina Hardy for sending me Gina K stamps so that I could partake in the challenges at Stamp TV and have a chance at winning wonderful prizes. This was my first challenge at Stamp TV, I was recently searching for some challenges and  it was recently mentioned to me that I was a member at the StampTV/Gina K site and I hadn't even realized I was, I knew I was not active there, and must have just joined and then went on to another site,  so I decided I should take this opportunity of looking for challenges to enter to use my membership at Gina K. I have heard wonderful things from many crafty friends about Stamp TV and Gina K stamps so why not!!

For this particular challenge called Color My World we are to make two of the same card, one in black, white, grey, and a neutral and the other in colors. I do not know the names of the stamps I have used but they are Gina K stamps. I enjoyed using my Silhouette Cameo that I received last Christmas for the scroll layers and I believe it was  a Martha Stewart border punch for the additional butterflies that the individual butterfly out of.

Paper Folded Embellishment

The Challenge at DS4J this week is to - create your own embellishment by folding a piece of paper.

In my card I used the bird cages set from DS4J! I used a piece of colorful patterned paper, punched with a decorative edge and turned it into a flower form adding an adorable orange button and some twine!
