Button It Up Shapely!

At Digistamps4Joy we are challenging you to -A shaped card with buttons 
Simple! Any shape, if you think about it all cards are shaped, but we would love it if you joined in with the fun and maybe make your card a different shape to the norm. Then add a button/s. Told you, easy! So strut your stuff over to the blog and show us your wonderful creations.

For my card I used digi images from the Garden set! I had some scrap left over of that beautiful ribbon! Just love how it turned out!

StampTV Challenge #2!

I had so much fun challenging myself in my first challenge at StampTV.com that I decided to do another challenge! Your chances at prizes for Gina K stamps are good if you use Gina K stamps within your card. (crossing my fingers this time) My second challenge I used the same stamp as the first challenge! I feel so creative!  This Mondays challenge is.. make a patriotic card, but no red & blue. I hope they aren't  picky about my colors, it looks blue in the photo but it is Teal & Cranberry mostly used here. :) My patriotism showing in my USA stamp as well as the Eagle stamp on my make believe envelope to a soldier.

StampTV First TImer Challenge Entry #2

Here she is, my challenge card #2 for the StampTV Challenge this week. This is in color and card #1 is in Black & White. I really enjoyed participating in this challenge it had been a while since I really took a challenge and I had forgotten how much I really enjoy being a challenge participant!

First Timer Challenger at Stamp TV!

First off I would like to take this opportunity to thank my crafty friend Regina Hardy for sending me Gina K stamps so that I could partake in the challenges at Stamp TV and have a chance at winning wonderful prizes. This was my first challenge at Stamp TV, I was recently searching for some challenges and  it was recently mentioned to me that I was a member at the StampTV/Gina K site and I hadn't even realized I was, I knew I was not active there, and must have just joined and then went on to another site,  so I decided I should take this opportunity of looking for challenges to enter to use my membership at Gina K. I have heard wonderful things from many crafty friends about Stamp TV and Gina K stamps so why not!!

For this particular challenge called Color My World we are to make two of the same card, one in black, white, grey, and a neutral and the other in colors. I do not know the names of the stamps I have used but they are Gina K stamps. I enjoyed using my Silhouette Cameo that I received last Christmas for the scroll layers and I believe it was  a Martha Stewart border punch for the additional butterflies that the individual butterfly out of.

Paper Folded Embellishment

The Challenge at DS4J this week is to - create your own embellishment by folding a piece of paper.

In my card I used the bird cages set from DS4J! I used a piece of colorful patterned paper, punched with a decorative edge and turned it into a flower form adding an adorable orange button and some twine!

New Release Sunday!

Today its New Release Sunday and "Melissa" is one of the wonderful new images this week! Check out the rest of the design team inspiration cards with the new releases and also see the other wonderful new releases at DS4J!

This week I wanted to feature the card I made for the design team I am on with Digistamps4Joy. Not only is this beautiful image named "Melissa" a new release this week at DS4J created by the fabulous talented artist Jen Leeflang, but the ribbon is from Ribbon Carousel referred to me by a good crafty friend named Regina Hardy.  The scalloped corners at the top left and bottom right were cut using my Sure Cuts A Lot software on my Cricut Expression machine. The coloring of this beautiful image I give credit to Suzanne Dean at Color Me Creative Classroom for helping me learn to use my Copic markers in a way that creates such remarkable looking hair and coloring! I finished Class 1 and starting Class 2, already amazed at the results I am getting from the classes!

New Release Sunday!

Here's my submission using this adorable digi image from Digistamps4Joy called My New Specs by Jen Leeflang this image reminds me so much of my daughter. I made the card as a valentine after the fact using this image thinking of how she had her first valentine ever. She's 18, and it was just such cute fun seeing her light up getting silly valentine gift together and making the day into something special for them both! I wish I had this card made up for her to give to him, it is such a cute image!

Cupcake Toppers

Using a couple of crafty punches, tooth picks, along with heart shaped sprinkles I was able to decorate these delicious cupcakes into a Valentine theme!
