The Devil in Me

I was inspired to make this Halloween card for the CMC (Color Me Creative) Copic Challenge as well as submit it for as many more challenges as I can. :D They are so fun and even more fun when you win prizes! I have invested in a lot of Copic markers in the past year since I discovered them. I realized today I have another duplicate, I thought for sure I doubled checked them. I really love challenges that force me to use the Copics and practice up. 
With Halloween around the corner I have been anxious to use my She Devil. I bought it in a set at Anita B Stampin's store. Very cute stamps they have! I topped her off with Glossy Accents to  give her fork, red suit, lips and horns a shiny wet look. The sentiment came in the set. I used  punches and a decorative border stamp that was Stampin Up. The mummy is a Stampabilities stamp.

What is Paper A La Mode?

What a fun unique challenge at The Outlawz. The Paper A La Mode group have put together a fun challenge this last Saturday. You might want to get over there and check it out you have till this Friday to enter your card for this challenge! Hurry! :D

For my card I was determined to use one of my Ippity stamps from Rona. Then it was all about coordinating everything around the stamp. The background paper was also from Rona. The white picket fence and the square doily were both cut on my Cricut machine. I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges. The white flowers are a EK punch, the sentiment piece is also a punch, the stamped frame and sentiment is all from Stampin Up. To top it off I added the yellow paper and the brown ribbon.

Feathers!

 4 Items- Gems, Patterned Paper, Ribbon, and Punch for the Sentiment

I have been wanting to use some of the feathers I have had in my craft box for years. Today I found just the right challenges, The Copic/Promarker Challenge at The Outlawz and there is only 3 days left to play! Also entered her at St. Lukes Charity cards, Anything Goes and Paper Creations Ink.

For my card I new when I seen feathers I wanted to use a vintage hat with feathers. While searching the internet for clip art I found these images of women from different era's. I printed them all and this is the one I ended up using. I colored the image using my Copic markers, the E group (Eoo, Eo1, E02) for the skin tones,  in the C group (C00, C01, C02) for the boa and the hair (C3, C5, C9), and then shades in the BV group (BV00, BV01,BV02) for the dress, touched it off with R29 on the lips. Used some Tim Holtz distress ink on the images and smudged it into the image piece. I received some stickers in a package of scrap-booking supplies from an Anysoldier Junkie friend who was quitting and the star-burst sticker you see on the feathers was in that package. I sparkled her up with Stickles in Icicle on the boa, and Ruby Slippers on the dress.

Paper Sack Note Card Set

I found this fun tutorial at Booth #32! It is a note card set with envelopes all wrapped up as a birthday gift set. I couldn't resist trying it out so this is my first attempt at this project. I embossed each card with a different embossing folder from the Cuttlebug.

For this card I received the ribbon out of my husbands fancy cigar box. :D The embossing folders are all Cuttlebug folders. The sentiment is Stampin Up.

Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz

HAPPY LABOR DAY! I hope all my friends had a wonderful weekend! I feel like it was Thanksgiving. We ate more than we should with the family over for the weekend that is for sure. I didn't get much crafty time in but I spent a day watching movies with the hubby and we have done a lot of cooking together this weekend. Now that it is time to start our week again it is time for another challenge and  for most of us we have tomorrow off of work to be able to work on this weeks challenge at The OUTLAWZ! The Outlawz Sketch Challenge

The sketch challenge at THE OUTLAWZ was very challenging for me this time around. I had no clue as to what trio of pics I wanted to use for my 3 squares, ideas were piling up and I had to put one of them ideas into action. For this card I used Sandi's digi's I new I wanted to use her digi's this time around but printing them small enough to keep them the same size square I found was difficult and I am not about to waste the images even if they are not square. :) I didn't want to put any color in the flowers but then realized they need to pop some more so I dabbed some colors on the flowers. I am not real happy with the turn out but I can always take it apart and do over. I love paper! lol!

CAS Challenge at The Outlawz!

 I decided to whip up a card for the CAS Challenge at The Outlawz. I haven't played in the other challenges like I have wanted. So today I played with my crafty supplies and quickly made this card for fun!

It's Monday.. a fun day for a challenge!

It is Monday and that means it is the beginning of this weeks Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz. The design teams inspiration cards are so very different and that is what I love about these challenges is seeing all the creations from week to week using the same themes. For my card I focused on Thanksgiving. I have been writing my Halloween letter insert for my cards to the soldiers so I have the Fall themes on the brain.

Greetings Challenge August 22

 

This week at The Outlawz we have an easy challenge for everyone to be able to participate. For my card I used a digi drawn by one of our very own design team ladies at The Outlawz, Anne Fenton! As some of you may know my husband loves to fly fish so this was a perfect male digi for me! I admit I had difficulty coloring it but I went with it and I think it turned out fantastic! 

The ladies and I on the design team for the Greetings Challenge would love to see what you create so come take the challenge there are lots of prizes, all you have to do is have fun creating and then show us your stuff! :D

Anysoldier Halloween Swap Hostess Gift

Isn't this cute! I really enjoy making these matchbook tea bag holders. This is themed Halloween for the hostess of the Anysoldier.com Halloween Card swap.  I hope she enjoys it as much as I did making this for her! :D

Mamabears Pink & Black Card Swap

Time for another swap at Mamabears! The theme this time around is Pink & Black. I dug these two cards out of my stash that I have made over the last year and a half. It might be cheating a little but as long as it is handmade and out of my stash I don't feel guilty. I am so pleased that I actually had cards in these colors pre-made!  I have a few other projects I have been working on in the past few weeks along with back to school shopping with my daughter so it was nice not to have to stress about this project I am partaking in. Thanks to all the swappers at Mamabears for helping make these swaps happen!

It has been the longest weekend and guess what I am so ready to get another challenge posted under my belt! We have such a fun challenge for you this week! Anysoldier Halloween/Thanksgiving/Fall Card Swap

The 20 cards for the Anysoldier.com card swap are due at the end of September. I had some free time on my hands to whip up a set of 14 quick cards and get 6 out of my card stash that I have made over the past year. I will be sending these 20 cards to the Hostess of this swap and she will then sort them out to the other fine ladies and we will have a mixed set of cards to send to our soldier of our choice. I personally pick out a soldier from the list provided at Anysoldier.com and as they return home I pick out new soldiers out of the list to send their requested supplies along with the greetings cards from the swaps. 

I would love to have cards from every state of the USA to send in my packages and this is the next best thing. Most of the ladies and gents that participate in the swap are all across the countryside so it is really neat to have their letters and cards to send to that special soldier of choice.
